Digital SAT Test Registration

You can register for the Digital SAT online through the College Board's website. All you have to do is decide when and where you will take the test, and then register for that test date and center online.

“Make sure the details you provide, such as your complete name or residence, match exactly what is on the photo identification you present as verification.”
Note: It is important to remember the SAT registration deadlines so that you do not have to pay more for late registration.

How to register for the Digital SAT online?

The official College Board website is where you complete the SAT’s registration process. Before registering, make sure to have your photo and form for payment ready. The registration process takes about 30 minutes to complete. The website saves your registration process if you leave it incomplete midway, so you can always return and finish it later. To make it easier for you, we have put together a step-by-step guide on how to complete the 2023 SAT registration process:

1. Check Your Calendar

Ask your guidance counselor, or go online, to find out when the SAT is being offered. Pick a day that is good for you, but make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to prep for the test.

2. Set Up Your Account

To register for the SAT, you'll need to set up an account on the College Board® website. Make sure you register using your full legal name as shown on your photo ID, correct date of birth, address, and high school details.

3. Open Your Account Dashboard

Once you’ve set up your account, go to your dashboard and click on the “Register for the SAT” option.

4. Fill Out the Questionnaire

Enter your personal and parent’s information, school information, expected graduation date, and your location. At this point, you can also register for the Student Search Service.

5. Enter AP Score and College Details

Enter your AP course and score details, along with the details of any extracurricular that you want to have added. At this step you can also select your prospective college type, and your major of interest. Note that these details are optional.

6. Select your Test Date

Select your preferred SAT test date and center from the dropdown menu. Upon confirming your selection, you’ll have 20 minutes to complete the rest of the registration process.

7. Upload Your Photo

At this step, upload a recent photo of yourself. The photo must show your head and shoulders with your entire face clearly visible and square to the camera.

8. Choose your Device

Choose your test day device from the dropdown menu, and review your test information.

9. Pay Your Fees

You are required to pay a fee to complete the registration process. If you miss the registration deadline, which is a month before your test date, you will be charged an additional late fee.

How to reschedule your Digital SAT test date?

The College Board does not allow for rescheduling of the Digital SAT test dates once you register for them. If you need to change your test date, you must cancel your test registration and register for a new test. Cancellation charges are $25.
