UWorld has launched an innovative new study option to help prepare you for the Writing and Language section on the SAT exam! And the reason is simple…

We all have strengths and weaknesses.

This is an inconvenient truth displayed in every area of our lives, including academics. Because of this, some areas of study — our “weaknesses” — need more practice than others.

For example…

Jenn may be a natural at conjugating verbs but hopelessly lost when it comes to comma placement.

Aaron might be a pronoun master but an apostrophe beginner.

Liz could have a knack for subject/verb agreement yet struggle with frequently confused words.

Before we throw shade at Jenn, Aaron, and Liz, let’s remember that this is normal. We all have academic strengths and weaknesses.

Hmm. If only there were a study option that let us focus on our weak areas. Oh, wait, now there is!

At UWorld, we want to help you shore up your weaknesses before you take your SAT exam. That’s why our content experts have designed a skill-based feature that allows you to choose a specific grammar skill to focus on as you prepare for your test.

Our “Skill-Based” option allows you to choose from a list of grammar skills that you will need to be proficient at to hit your dream SAT score. Bottom line: You get to choose how you want to practice!

Under the “Agreement” category, you can choose any of these specific areas of practice:

  • Comparisons
  • Modifiers
  • Nouns
  • Parallel Structure
  • Pronouns
  • Subject-verb
  • Verb

Under the “Organization” category, you can choose any of these specific areas of practice:

  • Combining sentences
  • Introductions, conclusions, and transitions
  • Logical ordering

Under the “Punctuation” category, you can choose any of these specific areas of practice:

  • Apostrophes
  • Commas
  • Other punctuation marks

And under the “Words, Phrases, and Graphics” category, you can choose any of these specific areas of practice:

  • Concision, precision, and style/tone
  • Frequently confused words
  • Graphs
  • Relevance and support
  • Revision

When you are looking to target and improve a “weak” area of study, now you can simply select the types of questions you want to practice and ride the learning wave.

And because the skills you select are areas of extra practice, our content experts dive even deeper into the fundamentals behind your concept of choice. With us, you can turn old weaknesses into new strengths!

Don’t let commas, modifiers, logical ordering, parallel structure, or any other type of grammar question make you nervous any longer. Identify those areas you need to work on, isolate your target of study, and improve your knowledge today!
